Shopify Buys Shop.com Domain

Shopify has acquired the shop.com domain from Market America, which announced the sale on Tuesday and will rebrand to MarketAmerica.com on Shopify's platform. Shopify did not disclose the price. The domain previously sold for $3.5 million in 2003 and to Market America in 2011. Shopify bought shop.ca in 2025 for $536,000 CAD.
