YouTube: Audience matters more than algorithm

YouTube's Senior Director of Growth Todd Beaupré told VidCon 2026 that the algorithm does not punish creators for infrequent posting. A deep study of millions of channels found virtually no relationship between upload gaps and view counts. Longer breaks actually made returning videos more likely to succeed.
