Google alerts Android users to backup storage change

Google has started emailing Android users about a backup storage policy change taking effect in 45 days. Android backup data including SMS, call history, device settings, and app settings will count toward the Google Account storage limit. New granular backup controls let users choose which apps and data types to back up.
