Android 17 quietly adds LHDC v5 support to Pixel phones. The codec enables 80ms low-latency audio with adaptive bit rates from 128Kbps to 900Kbps and sampling rates up to 96kHz. Users must enable it manually in Developer Settings under Bluetooth Audio Codec.
