TSMC halted new 3nm chip projects and raised prices as AI and cloud demand maxed out capacity. Existing 3nm lines are fully booked by AI GPUs, data center ASICs, and flagship mobile processors. TSMC now encourages early-stage clients to move to 2nm production.
