Google Launching AI Satellite on Falcon 9

Google will launch a satellite carrying its Tensor Processing Units aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 on October 1st, testing how the AI chips handle spaceflight stress, radiation and thermal extremes in low Earth orbit. It is the first step in Project Suncatcher, which aims to eventually put AI data centers in orbit. Google plans two more satellites next year.
