OpenAI released GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna on Tuesday, minutes after Anthropic launched Claude Opus 5.5. API prices were cut 50% versus GPT-5.6 promotional rates, with Sol at $2 per million input tokens and Luna at $0.10. Both models are live in ChatGPT Work and Codex for paid subscribers, with Luna also reaching free and Go users.
