Pentagon uses GenAI.mil to draft Congress reports

Pentagon CTO Emil Michael urged staff to use GenAI.mil for drafting congressional reports, cutting a 200-hour task to five hours. The Department of Defense sends around 1,400 reports to Congress annually. GenAI.mil, launched in December 2025, has roughly 1.5 million daily users among the 3.5 million-strong workforce.
