Battery rental startup bPOWERd is expanding from South Africa to Nigeria, offering electricity as a subscription service instead of selling generators or solar systems. South Africans previously spent between R8,000 and R150,000 on backup power equipment. The model removes upfront costs, installation, and maintenance for households and small businesses.
