Australia drafts law for algorithmic feed prompts

Australia published draft legislation requiring social media platforms to show recurring prompts offering users the option to turn off algorithmic feeds. The Digital Duty of Care bill carries penalties above A$100m for breaches. The eSafety Commissioner would gain power to monitor platforms using undercover accounts posing as children.
