Apple's macOS Golden Gate, unveiled at WWDC 2026, requires Apple silicon and drops four Intel Macs: 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro, 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro with four Thunderbolt 3 ports, 2020 iMac, and 2019 Mac Pro. Owners of those models will still receive security patches on macOS Tahoe.
