Coforge Appoints Akhil Gupta Chairman After Turmoil

Coforge named former Bharti Enterprises vice-chairman Akhil Kumar Gupta as chairperson and non-executive independent director for five years, effective Tuesday. He replaces O P Bhatt, who resigned September 9 after an internal audit found he withheld a board evaluation that gave him the lowest rating. The episode wiped over Rs 4,400 crore off Coforge's market value.
