UEFI NVRAM storage limits can block PC booting

UEFI NVRAM, a small flash region on motherboards, can fill up and prevent booting. Removing EFI variables leaves dead space until firmware garbage collection runs. Defragmenting via EFI shell or resetting UEFI defaults frees space, as seen with Framework laptops.
