NASA may send Mars rover twin to moon

NASA proposed sending PROMISE, a hybrid of Perseverance and Curiosity engineering test models, to the lunar south pole. The rover would use a plutonium-powered MMRTG generator, cost $700 million to $1.3 billion, and launch in the early 2030s.
