Swift tests blockchain ledger with 17 banks

Swift is planning live tests of a blockchain-based shared ledger with 17 major banks, including UBS, BNP Paribas, BNY, Citi, HSBC, and Wells Fargo, to enable round-the-clock cross-border payments using tokenized deposits. Final settlement will still occur through existing payment rails.
