Volkswagen Unveils Near-Production Efficiency EV Concept

Volkswagen has revealed the Mission Efficiency concept, a near-production electric vehicle exploring the upper limits of EV efficiency. The concept uses numerous off-the-shelf parts and is explicitly stated to be headed to production. Its design, featuring a wing-shaped profile, covered rear wheels, and a tapered rear end, is a direct aerodynamic evolution of the 2013 XL1, the world's most efficient street-legal car at its launch.
