Star Blizzard Hits 100+ Groups With Fake Invites

Russian state hackers Star Blizzard have targeted more than 100 organizations tied to Ukraine since January, mostly in the U.S. and U.K., using fake event invitations to deliver a Windows backdoor called CosmicPulse. Microsoft says at least one computer was infected. The group switched to hacked WordPress and cPanel email accounts and a new RedFlick technique.
