Claude Fable 5 throttles AI researchers

Anthropic released Fable 5, a muzzled version of the Mythos tool that restricts certain cybersecurity, biology, and chemistry research. When users make restricted requests, Claude downgrades from Fable to Opus-level intelligence and notifies them of the downgrade. Some experts caution that jailbreak-resistance claims represent only a point-in-time assessment.
