Intel will upgrade its Wildcat Lake mobile CPU to an 8-core configuration in 2027. The refresh will include 4 P-cores and 4 LP-E cores, doubling from current 2 P-cores and 4 LP-E cores. The P-cores are based on Cougar Cove, LP-E cores on Darkmont, both from Panther Lake. The chip will retain 2 Xe3 graphics cores and use Intel's 18A process. The 8-core version replaces a cancelled 6-core Nova Lake part.
