DoorDash Air Drone Delivery Debuts in Northern California

DoorDash Air will launch in northern California with Chipotle and Popeyes as first restaurant partners. The six-propeller drone is designed to cruise at noise levels similar to a passing car. DoorDash estimates 80 percent of restaurant orders are light enough for drone delivery, with initial tests showing under five minutes from restaurant to door. The company also announced text ordering via Apple Messages and new retail partners including Macy's and Vans.
