Sodium battery charges in four minutes

A sodium-metal battery using a Sn-FB QSE gel electrolyte achieved a 15C charge rate in lab testing, equivalent to a four-minute charge. The small experimental cell delivered 80.1 mAh per gram. A larger pouch-cell prototype retained 84% capacity after 19 cycles at a slow 0.1C rate, far from the headline performance.
