India Extends EV Incentives to Electric Ambulances

India's Ministry of Heavy Industries added electric ambulances to the PM E-DRIVE scheme, earmarking ₹500 Cr to support 3,811 units by FY28. Eligible e-ambulances receive up to 35% of ex-factory price or ₹30,000 per kWh, whichever is lower. The move targets a segment adding 10,000-12,000 ambulances annually with limited EV adoption.
