Android 17 adds Encrypted Client Hello (ECH) to hide website visits from network providers, with ECH GREASE enabled by default. Google also enforced Local Network Protection, enabled Certificate Transparency by default, and lets carriers turn off 2G to prevent downgrade attacks.
