Azure SQL Data Sync Blocks New Users Ahead of 2027 Shutdown

Microsoft stopped accepting new Azure SQL Data Sync deployments on September 9. The service, which uses a hub-and-spoke model for database synchronization, will fully shut down on September 30, 2027. Existing users can still manage their sync groups until retirement.
