Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said AI, semiconductor chips and quantum technology will be India's next major infrastructure investment, speaking at IIT Madras Alumni Association's Sangam 2026 in Bengaluru. She called for more AI hardware, training and skills, plus AI solutions for MSMEs, and said India can achieve over 10 percent growth with greater effort across sectors.
