Amazon CEO Andy Jassy stated that AI shopping agents are still not great. Consequently, the company blocked Meta's Muse agent from its ecommerce site in September 2026 due to violated conditions of use. While Jassy noted over 400 million Alexa users, he emphasized customers spend 50% more per order using it.
