JDK 25 introduces a new JFR CPUTimeSample event that provides accurate CPU-time sampling without relying on unsupported JVM internals. Datadog, SAP, Amazon, and the OpenJDK community collaborated on the feature. The event uses cooperative stack walking to capture stacks only when threads are actively executing on CPU.
