Truckmakers Seek 2030 EU Emissions Delay

Seven major European truck and bus manufacturers, including Daimler Truck, Iveco, and Scania, have jointly called on the EU to postpone its 2030 CO2 emissions targets for heavy-duty vehicles by three years. They cite insufficient charging infrastructure and high energy costs as key barriers, noting only 2.4% of new heavy-duty vehicles are currently zero-emission.
