Valen creator links Rust generics across languages

Evan Ovadia, creator of the Valen language, built bidirectional cross-language generics between Rust and Valen, sidestepping the C ABI, which cannot express generics. He embedded the Rust compiler as a library and patched rustc in roughly 100 lines to hand non-Rust types to Valen's compiler. He calls the patch hacky and not upstreamable.
