Bitdefender Labs found scammers running Reddit ads that impersonate the BBC, Financial Times, and The Guardian to promote fake AI investment platforms like Wencoin STX and Warrior Coin AI. The ads redirect to cloned news sites with fabricated articles and deepfake video segments. Bitdefender noted structural similarities to a Meta fraud network documented in March 2026.
