Discord Rolls Out Global Age Estimation

Discord will automatically assign users to adult or teen age groups based on account behavior, locking teens out of age-restricted content. The global rollout follows a February delay after privacy backlash, and a 2024 breach of its verification partner that exposed 70,000 IDs. Australia and the UK still require stepped-up age assurance under local laws.
