The European Commission will propose the EU Kids Act this Thursday, September 17. The law targets high-risk social media, video sharing platforms, online games, and AI chatbots. It creates a tiered system for under-15s: fully guardian-monitored accounts for children under 13, and moderate parental controls with screen time limits for those aged 13 to 15. Educational tools are excluded.
