EU urged to act on Pegasus spyware infection of MEP

Civil liberties groups demanded the EU investigate after Citizen Lab revealed former MEP Stelios Kouloglou's iPhone was infected with Pegasus spyware in October 2022 and March 2023 while he served on the PEGA Committee probing spyware abuse. The groups called for a robust investigation by DG ITEC and implementation of the committee's May 2023 recommendations.
