Rising rents drive men out of workforce

Rising rents are forcing noncollege-educated men to live with parents at higher rates than women. One in six noncollege men now live at home, and those who do are 20 percentage points less likely to be in the labor force. Housing costs may explain roughly a third of the employment decline among these men.
