Anthropic says Claude may want to see your ID

Anthropic updated its privacy policy to allow asking Claude users to upload a government-issued passport or driver's license for age or identity verification in certain circumstances. The change applies to a small subset of flagged users and aims to offer an appeal option instead of an outright ban.
