Hidden black hole may explain galaxy center stars

A model from Xiaochen Zheng at the Beijing Planetarium proposes an intermediate-mass black hole, hundreds to a thousand times the sun's mass, orbiting near Sagittarius A*. This object could explain the three distinct star populations and the zone of avoidance around the supermassive black hole.
