AMD to buy World Labs for $8.2B

AMD will acquire World Labs, the spatial intelligence startup founded by Fei-Fei Li, for $8.2 billion in stock, closing by year's end. AMD had backed a $1 billion round at a $5 billion valuation seven months ago, with Nvidia also participating. Li becomes AMD's executive vice president and chief scientist.
