Hourly Power Trading Expands Across US Grids

ElectronX, a Chicago exchange launched in December 2025, lists hourly electricity contracts on four US grids covering 60% of national load. It recorded 37,000 contracts in July after CFTC approval in August 2025. Funding exceeds $55 million, with FCM trading expected this fall.
