Green light for the EU's 'Battery Booster'

The European Commission launched the Battery Booster Facility, offering €1.5 billion in interest-free loans for battery cell production. Funded by EU Emissions Trading System revenues, the program targets the capital-intensive scale-up phase. A call for proposals is expected in the third quarter.
