Methane Thermolysis Has A Carbon Market Problem

Methane thermolysis produces hydrogen and solid carbon, roughly three tonnes of carbon per tonne of hydrogen. A 300,000-tonne hydrogen plant yields 900,000 tonnes of carbon annually. Even steel pairing leaves 80-90% of graphite needing other customers, making carbon a second independent market.
