Magnetic microscrolls mimic butterfly proboscis for micro-robots

Researchers at the University of Stuttgart and the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research built tiny ceramic rolls that unroll and roll up with a magnet, modeled on a butterfly's proboscis.
