BMW Merges Nav, Driver Assist in 3D View

BMW will merge navigation and driver assistance into a single 3D view starting in October for cars running its Operating System X. The feature, built in-house using Mapbox data, shows the car in its lane, surrounding traffic, and overlays assistance system actions. It requires Highway Assistant or Highway and City Assistant and will roll out in phases across select countries and roads.
