Global EV Growth Slows to 0.9% as North America Falls

Global EV and PHEV sales grew just 0.9% year-to-date through May 2026, reaching 7.5 million units. North America cratered while Europe surged 26% to 2 million sales, partly driven by Chinese-built EVs. China's market also fell, leaving Europe as the only major growth region.
