Fervo geothermal plant powers Utah grid

Fervo Energy's Cape Station in Beaver County, Utah, has begun supplying power from its first 33 MW geothermal unit, with commercial operation expected next week. Two more units will add 66 MW by New Year, toward 100 MW. The Google-backed project targets 900 MW contracted and eventual 4 GW capacity.
