UK institutions back Cosine's sovereign AI model

Cosine signed MOUs with Babcock, BT, Lloyds, LSEG, NatWest, PwC, Thales UK, and Telefónica Tech UK&I to co-design Lumen Sovereign, a frontier AI model trained entirely on UK infrastructure with no foreign dependency. The model will train on Isambard-AI supercomputer via the UK government's £500M Sovereign AI programme. Deployment readiness is targeted for end of 2026.
