Google Assistant retirement begins September 4

Google will begin discontinuing Google Assistant on eligible Android phones and tablets starting September 4, replacing it with Gemini. Wear OS watches, compatible headphones, and Android Auto cars using a paired phone will follow. Cars with Google built-in, Google TV, smart speakers, and smart displays are exempt for now.
