Tesla, SpaceX plan $16.8B Texas chip factory

Tesla and SpaceX will build the Terafab advanced chip factory in Grimes County, Texas, with an initial $16.8 billion investment. The facility plans over 100 million square feet of manufacturing space and at least 3,000 local jobs, producing chips for Optimus robots, Cybercabs, and space-based data centers.
