Apple to remove apps that fail to attract users

Apple updated its App Store Review Guidelines to remove existing apps in saturated categories if they are not updated, improved, or attracting customers. The change, released alongside WWDC, expands Apple's gatekeeping from rejecting new submissions to actively removing live apps. Developers receive a warning before removal.
