Micron committed up to $3 billion to the U.S. semiconductor supply chain, including $500 million in strategic financing for GlobalWafers' 300mm raw silicon wafer plant in Sherman, Texas. The companies will sign a 10-year agreement for plant output. Micron also raised planned U.S. spending to over $250 billion, aiming to manufacture 40% of DRAM in the U.S. by 2035.
