Aaron Christophel reverse engineered the €15 OBI Energy Tracker from German DIY store OBI. The device clips onto an electricity meter and sends data to a cloud-bound gateway. Christophel freed the gateway from cloud dependency, enabling self-hosted local tracking. Two videos document the process.
